Basic Vehicle Requirements

The Golden Empire Mustangs Club Dyno-Day is primarily intended for Ford Mustangs.  Other vehicles are welcome to participate providing there are open dyno time slots.  There will be 24 openings.  Priority will be given to GEM club members, followed by Mustangs, other Ford powered vehicles, then all others.

All participants vehicles must display a license plate with current registration decal.  The vehicle must have mufflers, no cut-outs will be permitted.  No tuning is allowed after the vehicle has been strapped to the dyno.  Working on vehicles in any fashion while the vehicle is strapped to the dynamometer is not allowed.

Testing Accuracy

Dynamometer testing is used to test vehicles horsepower and torque output.  Due to minor variances in dynamometers and installations, results will vary between machine manufacturers and locations.  We pride ourselves in consistent testing procedures which provide repeatable results on individual vehicles, as well as from vehicle to vehicle.  Every test will be corrected to prevailing atmospheric conditions at the time of the tests using SAE J1349 specifications.

Awards

Results results will be analyzed by a joint committee of Marcy Motorsport Staff and Golden Empire Mustang Club Directors.  Dyno Day Prizes will be awarded shortly after the conclusion of dyno runs. The decision of the committee is final as it concerns determination of winners. Every effort will be made on the part of the committee to insure fairness and an even playing field.

Rates and Fees

The cost of participation in the Dyno-Day has been set at $40. The participant fee will be collected prior to the start of the event.  Payment may be made by cash or check, checks should be made out to Marcy Motorsport.  Dyno Fee entitles participant to two (2) successful dyno pulls, with a maximum of four (4) pulls in their alloted 20 minute period to record two (2) similar graphs.

The 2008 Golden Empire Mustangs Dyno Day will take place on Saturday November 1, 2008 at Marcy Motorsport's dyno faciity located a 12504 Mountain Mesa Rd. Lake Isabella, CA 93240.  Pre-Registration is due by October 15, 2008.  Remaining spots for this event will be first-come-first-serve event so contact Marcy Motorsport or the Golden Empire Mustang Club to reserve you place before space runs out.
